Disclaimer & terms of use
InfusionFox is an educational and clinical reference tool for licensed veterinary professionals and veterinary students. It is not a substitute for professional judgment, clinical assessment, or species- and patient-specific knowledge.
Verify every dose
Calculator outputs must be independently verified by the prescribing clinician before any drug is administered. InfusionFox is designed to make that verification possible: every calculator shows its work, every dose-relevant value is cited to a primary source, and the math is laid out step-by-step for inspection. The clinician's role is to check the dose range for the species and indication, confirm the stock concentration of the vial in hand, and review patient-specific contraindications.
Clinical responsibility
The practitioner using this tool bears full responsibility for the dose administered, the clinical decisions made, and the outcome for the patient. InfusionFox and its authors make no warranties regarding fitness for any particular clinical situation and accept no liability for adverse outcomes arising from use of the tool.
Species and population scope
Current calculators and dose ranges are intended for small-animal patients (dogs and cats). They are not validated for exotic species, equine, food-producing, or wildlife patients.
Not a substitute for licensure
Use of this site does not confer, replace, or supplement veterinary licensure. Student users must practice under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian as required by their jurisdiction.
Content updates
Clinical guidance evolves. We make reasonable efforts to keep dose ranges, drug information, and protocols current with published veterinary literature, but users should consult primary sources and current formularies for definitive guidance.
Reporting concerns
If you find an incorrect dose, a missing citation, or content you believe is unsafe, please report it via the feedback button on any page or by emailing [email protected]. Clinical concerns are triaged first.
